Research Guide

Plain-language explanations for the metrics used across PulseAtlas.

A

Price and volume

Price shows the latest consolidated market level. Volume shows activity, not direction.

B

Open interest

Open interest measures outstanding derivative exposure. Rising OI can amplify both breakouts and liquidations.

C

Funding rate

Funding reflects the balance between perpetual longs and shorts. Extreme values can signal crowded positioning.

D

Liquidations

Liquidations are forced closures. A sharp imbalance can show which side was caught offside.

E

Use signals together

No single metric predicts direction. Compare price, leverage, funding and liquidation data at the same timestamp.
